Support & Troubleshooting

Answers to the most common questions, plus quick fixes for known issues. Can't find what you need? Reach out directly.

Getting started

Open the web app, drag a folder of images onto the workspace, and Motion Studio handles the rest — import, sequencing, preview, and export. No account required.

Supported image formats

Motion Studio accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, and TIFF images. All common camera and screenshot formats are supported.

Export formats

Export as GIF, MP4, WebM, APNG, WebP, or MOV. See the export format guide for details on which format to use.

Browser compatibility

The web version works best in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Safari works for most features but may have limited WebM export support.

Desktop version

The desktop app adds native file access, background rendering, and removes browser memory limits for large sequences. Available on the download page.

Privacy & data

Your images are processed locally in your browser or on your machine. Motion Studio does not upload your images to any server during normal use. See the privacy policy for details.

Common issues

Images appear in the wrong order

Motion Studio sorts by filename. If your files have inconsistent naming (e.g., mixing IMG_001 and photo_2024), rename them with sequential numbers or dates, or drag frames to reorder manually.

Export is slow or unresponsive

Large sequences with thousands of high-resolution frames can exceed browser memory. Reduce the output resolution, trim unnecessary frames, or switch to the desktop version for higher limits and background rendering.

GIF file is too large

See the GIF optimization guide for tips on reducing file size. The most effective step is reducing the output resolution.
